[In the left margin] 107 Jordon Barrett Will I Jordon Bennett of the county of Southampton and state of Virginia, being somewhat sick and in body but of sound mind and disposing memory and being fully sensible that it is ordered by the Author of our nature all men once to die and extremely desirous to settle and dispose of my worldly affairs in my life time and before I go [?????] and be no more [?????] I do hereby constitute and ordain this my last will and testament in the manner and following, To wit 1st: My will and desire that all my just debts be fully paid out of my estate and the residue of my estate to be disposed of as herein after mentioned Item: I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Elizabeth during her natural life or widowhood the house and plantation whereon I now live in the house hold and Kitchen furniture that is not herein after mentioned & also other property of every description of mine that is not herein after mentioned. Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Edith Hill twenty dollars Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Rebecca Liles twenty dollars Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Henry one negro boy by the name of George I also give unto my said son Henry one bed and furniture and one small gun Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Bennett one negro boy by the name of Dick, one feather bed and furniture and large gun Item: it will be understood at the marriage of death of my aforesaid wife as should be the longest lived my land and plantation before mentioned be equally divided between my two sons (viz) Henry and Bennett but in case either of my two sons should depart this life before the other without an heir of the body the whole of the property divided by me to them go to surviving one Henry or Bennett which of them is or should be the longed live and the residue of my property if any to be equally divided between the whole of my children viz.
